Welcome to the Bonner County Homeschool Group. We are an inclusive group which welcomes ALL homeschoolers. We wish to provide a social network that brings homeschool families together for support and friendship. We wish this group to be low-key and parent run. Contact Michelle Copher at 208-627-2748 or at bonnercountyhomeschoolgroup@gmail.com for more info or just show up on the last Friday of each month to one of our kids club meetings (it's about the kids and kids are always welcome).

Kids club is a day once a month for kids to get together and just play while their parents talk . . . about homeschooling, parenting, and activities and plans for the Homeschool Group.
We'd like this group to be parent run. That means that a parent comes up with a class or activity they would like to organize. Then they e-mail the information to bonnercountyhomeschoolgroup@gmail.com and we put it on the calendar. Visitors to the site can look at the calendar and see what activities are being offered. They can then click on the activities they are interested in for more information.
Some ideas for activities would be co-op classes taught on any subject, days at the beach, an organized science fair, a play, a group field trip and so on. The possibilities are endless.
If you suggest an activity, then you are the organizer. You are responsible for finding a place to do it and making any arrangements. When submitting an idea, give all the necessary details: time, place, cost, materials needed, and whether you would like an RSVP and if so, how to reach you.
If you have an idea for a class, but do not feel able to be the organizer then e-mail bchg anyway and we'll post it on an ideas board on this site and perhaps someone else will be able to be the organizer. Make sure you let us know that it is an idea and that you are not able to be the organizer.
Thanks for helping this group be successful.
Below I have my ideas on how to homeschool. I choose a classical, academic method to teach my kids. That is what fits with my personality and my goals for my kids. Your method may be quite different. Check out the different ideas you see here. Also see the links on our side bar for more homeschool ideas.
